The Run By Numbers Coaching Toolkit
Walk into your season with a plan you designed and can defend.
Nine tools that turn the book's architecture into your team's training. You bring the athletes and the goal. The toolkit lays out the options and the tradeoffs. The call is still yours.
Founding enrollment opens July 21 · 30-day guarantee
The space between your philosophy and Tuesday at 6am practice
It's a Sunday night in July and the spreadsheet is blank. You have a philosophy. Maybe you have the book. And between “I believe in aerobic development” and “what are we doing on Tuesday at 6am practice” sit a hundred decisions nobody taught you to make: who's built for what, which workout does which job, what order the pieces go in, and what moves when one of them breaks.
A borrowed plan answers those questions for somebody else's team. Guessing answers them for nobody's.
You can coach that way. Most of us have. But you never stop feeling like you're one bad week away from finding out the plan was luck.
The book teaches you to think like an architect. This is the drafting table.
How it works
Profile your athletes
Start with race times you already have. See who each runner is today, and the most valuable thing to train next.
Design your season
Workouts, weeks, progressions: see the options and the tradeoffs at every altitude, with the reasoning attached.
Walk in with a plan you can defend
Yours, built for your team. And when reality changes something, you'll know exactly what moves.
Nine tools. Every altitude of the season.
From reading one athlete's race times to designing the whole year backward from the State meet.
Every card opens a worked demo: a real coaching scenario, start to finish, no account needed.
Start Here
Get oriented before you design anything.
Pick one of the training roles. Get what it develops, why your architecture needs it, what workouts serve it at your athletes' level, and how it connects to the other roles.
See the demo →
Enter one athlete's race times. Get their ratios read against the balanced bands, their athlete type, the single highest-leverage gap to train, and what it means for their training.
See the demo →
Design the Workout
Shape a single session and see what it actually trains.
Paste in any workout, yours or found. Get its architectural role, what it actually develops, the assumptions it makes, its best placement, who it fits, common misuses, and a decision checklist.
See the demo →
Name the adaptation you need. Get three to five genuinely different workouts that build it, each named by zone, race-pace anchor, and role, with the tradeoffs for choosing between them.
See the demo →
Give it any workout and the athlete it wasn't written for. Get what's essential versus flexible, plus three modified versions that preserve the adaptation, with the reasoning attached.
See the demo →
Give it a workout. See what its density and complexity are each doing, and how to move either one for a new stimulus without touching pace or volume.
See the demo →
Design the Time
Zoom out to weeks, progressions, and the whole season.
Give it a goal workout and an athlete. Get three complete progressions to it, one control moving at a time, with milestones, risks, and the signs to abandon each.
See the demo →
Lay out your training week. Get its identity, why each session sits where it does, how the sessions interact, and what the structure assumes about your athletes.
See the demo →
Give it the goal, the PRs, and the timeline. Get the gap analysis, the likely bottleneck, a phase map with testable checkpoints, and three full season architectures to choose between.

“Architecture is missing from my program, this describes it perfectly. Held together by hope.”
“I've been using your questions, adapted to work for my team, for the past 2 years.”
Built by a coach with twenty years at a Texas 6A program: 9 straight XC State qualifications, State champions in the 1600m and 400m. 202 coaches read the Run By Numbers newsletter every week.
Less than a clinic weekend. Yours forever.
A clinic runs $300–500 plus travel, and you come home with someone else's workouts. The toolkit costs less, and you come home with your own season.

The First-Plan Guarantee
Thirty days is enough time to design a full season plan with the toolkit. If it doesn't change how you plan training, email me for a full refund. I can offer this because coaches who run a real season through it don't ask.
Terms and refund policyWho this is NOT for
If you want a finished plan handed to you, the toolkit will frustrate you. It shows options, tradeoffs, and reasons. It never makes the call. That part is still yours. That's the whole point.
Questions coaches ask
Do I need the book first?
No. Every tool explains its thinking as it goes. The book goes deeper on the why (and Founding Coaches get a copy included), but the tools stand on their own.
What exactly is a Coaching Credit?
Every analysis you run costs 1 to 5 credits depending on the tool. Your 1,000 (plus the 200 founding bonus) is 400+ analyses, more than most coaches use in a full season. Credits don't expire, and heavy users can add more anytime.
My season's already planned. Is this still useful?
That plan is a hypothesis. The toolkit is how you check it: profile your athletes against it, translate its workouts, stress-test the weeks. And when September breaks something (it will), you'll know exactly what moves.
Which events is it built for?
Distance: 800m through 5K and cross country. If you coach sprints only, this isn't your tool.
What happens after July 28?
The founding window closes when the book launches. The bonuses go with it: the book, the 200 extra credits, and the live season-design call.
How does the guarantee work?
Email me within 30 days and I refund you. No form, no call, no exit interview.
Stop assembling. Start designing.

Build, Don't Borrow
The 23 questions behind the toolkit: how to build a training architecture that's actually yours, not borrowed.
